In the stillness of a world on pause, Michele picked up a brush. What began as a curious experiment—a way to fill the silent spaces during the isolation of the pandemic—became something more. Paint pooled, colors bled, and moments took shape. Soon, she was inviting family and friends to join her, and in their laughter and quiet focus, she found a new language.

Over time, her brush grew bolder. Her style shifted—impressionistic cityscapes gave way to softer abstractions and soulful meditations on breath, memory, and presence. A turning point came when her impressionistic Detroit skyline won a national watercolor challenge, a moment of recognition that echoed back to her a truth she was just beginning to embrace: this was more than a pastime.

Today, Michele paints on paper and reclaimed wood, her brush tracing the grain like an echo of time. Her work is raw, reflective, and deeply human—an invitation to pause, to feel, to breathe.

Beyond the easel, she is a dancer at heart, a dog mom to Buster, and an unapologetic lover of music, movement and soulful connection.

For Michele, art is a conversation—between silence and song, between touch and thought, between soul and surface. Art wasn’t part of her plan, but its definitely now part of her story.
